The Second Wave

Without a doubt, many of us have been following the daily briefings about COVID-19 cases and re-emerging restrictions in our province. With this comes mixed feelings of anxiety, concern, and disappointment about cancelled events or gatherings.

It is of utmost importance that we heed the advice of our Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, if we are to curb the second wave. Do not gather with those outside of our immediate household. Avoid unnecessary travel outside our health authority. Wear a mask in all indoor public spaces. Wash our hands frequently. Be calm, be kind, be safe.

The advice and guidelines may be getting repetitive and wearisome but this is all we can do to help the situation. If we do our part we will help keep ourselves, our families, and as many people in the community as safe and healthy as possible.

With the rise in cases you may be asked to switch your visit to a telephone or a video appointment. Please understand that we are minimizing the risk to you, other patients, and our staff and doctors. If you have an issue you believe should be seen in person, your case will be discussed with your GP and you may be granted an in-office appointment. Review our in-office appointment guidelines here.

We thank you again for your patience through this challenging year.
